Need To Fly Within A City? Functional or VIP flights
Functional or VIP, from 4-6 passenger single-engine helicopters to fast twin-turbine-powered helicopters with V.I.P interiors featuring individual armchairs and in-flight refreshments. Helicopters are the most flexible and versatile aircraft for short distances.
Helicopters
A helicopter is a type of rotorcraft in which lift and thrust are supplied by one or more engine-driven rotors and enable it to take off and land vertically, to hover, and to fly forwards, backwards, and laterally. Helicopters are designed to be fast, comfortable and fly at high altitudes and are very versatile for short distances and can be used in congested or isolated areas where fixed wing aircraft cannot operate. Helicopters can feature low noise levels, luxury interiors, baggage storage, and seat between four to six passengers with individual armchairs and in-flight refreshments.
There are many types of Helicopters available including 206L-4 LongRanger manufactured by Bell Helicopter. The 206L-4 is an upgraded version of the original 206L and features a high
-inertia two bladed rotor system with a patented suspension system delivering an extremely smooth travel. The 206L-4 can hold up to seven passengers, and the club-passenger seating allows for face-to-face conversations. Other modifications include strengthened airframe structural components, improved transmission and upgraded Rolls-Royce M250-C30P engine. The cabin can seat up to six passengers with 61in wide opening doors for easy access. The 206L-4 has a range of 661km (357nm) at 5,000ft.
Another Helicopter is the Eurocopter AS355 Ecureuil 2 (Twin Squirrel) manufactured by Aérospatiale (now part of Eurocopter Group). The AS355 was developed onward from the AS350 Single Squirrel and is powered by two gas turbine engines; this helicopter also has enough power for large lifting capacity. The AS355 can be utilised for executive charter, law enforcement and as an aerial filming platform. The cabin can seat four to five passengers and the seats can be configured with or without armrests and has a range of 703km (380nm).
The 120 Colibri is another example manufactured by Eurocopter Helicopters, like the AS355 the 120 Colibri is very versatile and can be used for many types of missions including law enforcement, military training, medical, executive, cargo and aerial filming. For cargo carrying, the Colibri can carry one pilot plus 103.9 cu. ft. (2.94 cubic meters) of total useful load volume (cabin and hold). The EC120's side and rear accessible hold contains 28.3 cu. ft (0.8 cubic meters). The wide cabin can seat four passengers and has a range of 710 km (383nm) 19,800ft.
